A DIVISION OF KEYLAND POLYMER MATERIAL SCIENCES, GLOBAL LEADER IN THE DEVELOPMENT, MANUFACTURING, AND APPLICATION OF SOLID MATERIALS CURED WITH UV (ULTRAVIOLET) LIGHT ENERGY.
About Us
Keyland Polymer UV Application Technology helps companies design and install UV curable powder coating application systems. Keyland Polymer Material Sciences has been involved in the UV cured powder coating business since 2005. We have helped several companies set up their own UV cured powder coating application systems and offer ongoing system operating support.
System Design and Curing Methods
Every application system and system layout will vary, but below is the basic suggested equipment.
Pretreatment Station
Application System/Environmental Room
Melt/Flow Oven
UV Oven for Cure
Conveyor System |
There are multiple types of curing systems available for curing UV or radiation curable materials. These include UV Arc lamps, UV Microwave, UV LED, and Electron Beam (EB). Each project has a unique set of cure parameters and performance specifications, and there are many other aspects to consider before determining the proper equipment needed for your products and process.
Benefits of UV
A UV curing system has a variety of benefits including speed of cure, increased productivity and profit potential, and sustainable finishing for a wide array of substrates. The lower process temperatures and instant cure of the UV cured powder coating process allow the finishing of heat sensitive substrates including plastic, composite, and wood as well as traditional metal substrates. UV cured powder coating is not low temperature powder coating, it is low temperature melt and instant UV cure.
